Jane Disman, 80, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away June 12, 2024, at Greenwood Health and Living.
She was born on August 16, 1943, to the later Maxie and Cecil G. (Steenbergen) Jones in Scottsville, Kentucky.
Lizzie Jane Disman was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Lizzie loved her family most of all. She retired from General Motors as a UAW production worker (Local 23). She spent her spare time cooking, watching her shows, and loving her dog Serria that has passed also. She loved to cook big dinners for her family on holidays. She loved all holidays because she could decorate her house with all the decorations that she bought the year before and “got a deal”. That was her favorite saying after getting something cheaper than sticker price. She will be greatly missed by the people she has come in contact within her life. She is always the person that will leave a lasting impression because she will either be the sweet old lady to you or express her feelings to you! Either way you will remember her!
She is survived by her sons, Dale French, Stanley G. Disman, James Disman, John Disman, Robert Disman; daughter: Contina French; daughter in law: Carla Disman; grandsons, Joey Disman, Britt Disman, Zach Disman, Max Disman, Mitchell Disman, and Tyler Disman; granddaughter’s, Allison Disman Kenny, Caidance Love Griffith, and Brianna Disman; great granddaughters, Kaylee Disman, Belle Disman, Kylie Ray Kenney, and Kendall Jennavieve Kenney; great grandsons, Kaden Disman, Hunter Disman, Maveric Disman, Leo Disman, Zeke Disman, Zane Disman, Cash M. Disman, Blessed Moon Disman, Kyle William Kenney; brothers, Roy Jones, Bobby Jones, and Willie Jones; sister, Dovie Moore and a very large extended family!
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Maxie, and Cecil Jones; brothers, Noel Jones, Charlie Jones, Garland Jone; sisters, Katherine Jones, Dolly Jones; daughter in law, Cynthia Disman; and granddaughter, Brooke Disman.
