Jane Caroline (Bork) Dzwonkowski passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at her home.
She was born on September 30, 1941, to Henry and Clara (Mertes) Bork. Jane graduated from Fountain City High School. In 1959, she married Lowell Henderson and together they had one son, Ronald. After 10 years, they divorced.
She met and fell in love with Eugene Dzwonkowski. They were married on August 20, 1976. They then moved to Valparaiso, Indiana, where both Gene and Jane worked for Bethlehem Steele in Burns Harbor, Indiana, Gene in the mill and Jane in the office. After 30 ½ years at Bethlehem, they moved back to “God’s Country” as Gene Called it. Jane worked at Benchmark in Winona. Jane enjoyed ceramics, being outside, taking care of the yard, flowers, and feeding and watching the birds. In her younger years, she enjoyed going to the old-time dances, going to lunch with her friends, and also enjoyed frequent trips to the casino.
Jane was a loving, caring person.
She is survived by her one son, Ronald Henderson; stepson, James Dzwonkowski; grandchildren, Bradley (Janelle) Drury and Jackie (Rusty) Church; great grandchildren, Evelyn Rose Drury, Theodore James Drury, Troy Bork, and Austin Bork; brothers, David (Irene) Bork, and Donald (Grace) Bork; sister, Rita (Don) Fort, sister-in-law, Rosalie Bork; as well as numerus nieces and nephews, other relative and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; her parents, Henry and Clara Bork; brother, Eugene Bork; and baby sister, Phyllis who passed away at 2 years old; and son-in-law Kenneth Drury.
A joint memorial service for Jane and her son, Ron, who passed way on March 21, 2025, will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Hoff Funeral Home (3480 Service Dr. Goodview, MN) with visitation beginning at 10am.
A private burial will be held in Piepers Valley Cemetery, Fountain City, WI.
Hoff Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
