Jane Fairman

Naola "Jane" Fairman, 90, of Creekside, passed away on February 13, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 20, 1935 to James Nelson and Velma Arlene (Johnston) Skinner in South Mahoning Twp, PA.

Jane was a 1953 graduate of Marion Center High School. She attended the Sagamore Community Bible Church and was a member of the Rainbow Glass Club.

She worked for Marion Center School District as a Building Clerk, starting at Plumville Elementary School then onto Rayne Elementary School. Many students still remember her as "Grandma Jane" as all six of her grandchildren attended school while she worked there. She loved the students and staff and made many lasting friendships over the years that she greatly cherished. In 1998, Jane retired and enjoyed her wonderful life of retirement which included traveling, yard sales, going to flea markets, camping, and going out to eat. She enjoyed being around her friends and family.

Jane was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved the Lord and her family. She led by example and taught us that there is always good in everyone and to always be forgiving. Jane never held a grudge and she had a heart of gold. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Surviving are her daughters, Becky (Don) Blystone of Plumville, Darla (Ron) Link of York, and Tammy (Bill) Hozak of Creekside; grandchildren, Kipp, Emily, Tim, Toby, Jimmy, and Briana; great-grandchildren, Addison, Aliyah, Ty, Aiden, and Austin; and a little furry guy, Boo, who stayed by her side until the end.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Edward Lawrence Fairman whom she wed May 15, 1953; a brother, Ronald Skinner; and a sister-in-law, Violet Skinner.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 16, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main Street, Rural Valley, PA. A funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Ken Branan, officiating.

Private interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
