Jane Gainor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clary Memorial Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC on Aug. 15, 2025.
Jane Ann Gainor, 57, of Boscobel, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at her home on August 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and her cherished Persian cat, Gabbi. Born May 24, 1968, in Richland Center, Jane was the daughter of Dale and Patricia Balsley. She graduated with a degree in nursing and went on to dedicate more than three decades of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse at the Richland Hospital, where she worked from 1988 until her retirement 2022. Her compassion, dedication, and steady presence touched countless lives. Jane married the love of her life, Tom Gainor, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and family traditions. She found joy in cooking, celebrating holidays, decorating her home, and hosting family get-togethers. She especially treasured her time in the Northwoods at the family cabin in Bayfield County, trips to the orchards in Gays Mills, and quiet moments playing the piano. Her home was always a place of welcome and beauty, reflecting her generous spirit and creative touch. She is survived by her husband, Tom Gainor of Boscobel; her children Elizabeth (Darren) Mott of Richland Center, Claire (Cade) Furgason of Richland Center, and Ava Shannon (Kolten Stibbe) of Richland Center; her stepdaughter Stephanie Gainor (Evan Kasemeotes) of Minneapolis; and her stepson Jarrod Gainor (Kari King) of Minneapolis. She was the proud grandmother of Joseph Mott, Wyatt Furgason, and Avery Furgason, all of Richland Center, and step-grandmother to Wesley Kasemeotes and Ollie Kasemeotes of Minneapolis. She is also survived by her brother John (Tammy) Balsley of Holmen; nieces Amelia, Maisy, and Miley; and nephew Alex Balsley, all of Holmen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Patricia Balsley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025, at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Rolling Ground, with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Fr. Tom Huff will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will also be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center, with Wisconsin Nurses Honor Guard service to follow at 4:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice in Jane's memory. www.clarymemorialfuneralhome.com .
