Jane Ellen Gaylor, born October 1, 1945, in Winchester, IN, as Jane Ellen Reitenour, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.
Known affectionately by most as “Baby Grandma,” a nickname lovingly given to her by one of her great-grandchildren because she was “so little.” Jane brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone who knew her.
Jane was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. She found joy in simple moments like camping under the stars, playing cards with family and friends, going to Bible Study or brunch after church services, she loved going to her great grandchildren’s events and spending time with those she loved most. Jane made friends wherever she went. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and contagious smile will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
She is survived by her children: Sherri Gaylor (Jeff), Lori Stevens (Paul). Her 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Her siblings: Judy Bell (Marv), Jean Reitenour, Jerry Reitenour (Judy), Julie Callender (Pat), Peggy Reitenour and Don Weaver.
Jane was reunited in death by her loving husband Millard (Mid), her parents Dorothy and James Reitenour and her siblings: Tom, John, Janice and Jeff.
