Barbara Jane Harper, age 90, of Portland, passed away on October 2nd, 2025 at Portland Tristar E.R. She was born on January 16th, 1935 to the late Blonnie George and the late Ethel Emaline Fuqua.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Ma Harper was a sweet, kind, loving person. Anyone who knew her, loved her. Her nickname was Happy Jane because she would come to work every day at GE singing songs. She carried on that tradition with her children and grandchildren by calling and singing happy birthday to them every year. She will be forever missed but resting in peace sheltered by the arms of God.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by sons, Mark Harper, Gary & Larry Harper.

Mrs. Harper is survived by husband, David Earl Harper Sr.; daughter, Sherry Clouse of Bowling Green, KY; son, David Earl (Patsy) Harper Jr. of Titusville, FL; grandchildren, Greg (Mandy) Harper of Cottontown, Ashley Thomas of Bowling Green, KY, Amber (Mark Sinnott) Fleming of Texas, Dusty (Jamie) Harper of Goodlettsville, Justin (Racheal) Harper of Portland, & Lucas Harper of Portland; great grandchildren, Hayes Fleming, Lawren (Seth) Reynolds, Will Harper, Copeland Fleming, Wes Harper, Kizer Harper, Hunter Harper, Drake Harper, Blake Thomas, Blayze Harper; great great grandchildren, Bo Harper, Knox Harper, & Klayton Reynolds.

Funeral service for Mrs. Harper will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 6th, 2025 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Pastor Al Johnson & Pastor Gary Pardue officiating.

Visitation for Mrs. Harper will be on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday, October 6th, 2025 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. The family will take a one-hour break from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm.

Interment will be in Old Brush Cemetery. Immediately following the interment, lunch will be served at Union Chapel Church.

Greg Harper, Dusty Harper, Justin Harper, Hayes Fleming, Jim Clouse, & Will Harper will be serving as pallbearers.
