Jane Hingson, aged 74, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. Born in Live Oak, FL, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Jane was a dedicated member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church and worked for nearly fifty years at Gill Tire Company as an office manager and salesperson. She had a passion for the beach, particularly enjoying Panama City and St. George Island, and was an avid reader of Mary Higgins Clark books. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her daughter and grandchildren. She enjoyed attending all of her grandkids events and other family events because her family was very important to her.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Nikki Nix and her husband Craig of Live Oak; her sisters, Barbara Ann Weinhold and her husband Roger of Acworth, GA, Diane Duncan and her husband Len of Jasper, and Phyllis "Cookie" Murray and her husband Ralph of Live Oak; her brother, Wesley Ross and his wife Tammy of Quitman, GA; and her grandchildren, Camryn Nix and her significant other Max Vidal of Jacksonville, and Brayden Nix, Colson Nix, and Alana Nix, all of Live Oak. She is also survived by her sister in law: Jean Andrews and her husband Robert, Live Oak; brother in laws: Eddie Hingson (Sherri), Lake City, Henry Hingson (Judy), Live Oak; many nieces, nephews and other loved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of fifty-one years, Jimmy Hingson, her mother, Adell Ross, father, Phil Ross, brothers, Buddy Ross, Daniel "Sandy" Ross, brother in law, Charles Hingson, mother in Law, Estelle Hingson, father in Law, Johnnie Hingson and niece, Debbie Ross.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 18th at Daniels Memorial Chapel, with interment following at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 am.
