Jane Kester

Jane Kester Obituary Barbara Jane (Earl) Kester, known by all as simply Jane, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the age of 77 at Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, Indiana. Heaven gained another beautiful soul...Jane will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was born on March 25, 1948, in Corryton, Tennessee to Edith Ruth (Stanifer) Earl and Jack Earl. Jane was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where she attended Warsaw High School. Jane worked as a secretary at Kester's Electric in Warsaw.
Later in her life she reconnected with a wonderful man, Thurl Kester. They were married on October 13, 2013, sadly he passed away on February 13, 2015. Jane cherished the time they had and missed him dearly. She always loved spending time with her family, especially going on road trips with her sister, Pat. Many memorable conversations were had in the car on their many trips to the casino. She also enjoyed visiting her nephew, Christopher York, and spending time at his home with her sister Pat. Jane enjoyed the simple things in life, a good meal with family and friends, holidays, birthdays, family gatherings and cookouts.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Julie (Steve) Littlejohn (Warsaw, IN); three step-sons, Steven (Christine "Crissy") Kester (Warsaw, IN); Clyde (Jennifer) Kester (Lakeville, IN); JR (Sherry Lee) Kester (Albion, IN); step-daughter, Laura (George) Stidams (Warsaw, IN); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Don (Deb) Earl (MI); sister, Pat (Terry) Welker (Claypool, IN); sister, Betty Smith (FL); sister-in-law, Becky Earl; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thurl, brother, Albert Earl and his wife Jenny, brother, Ray Earl, and her sister Judy Fleming and her husband Jim.
Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Jane's life will be celebrated with a service at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Chaplain Bryan Benjamin. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, Indiana assisting Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, Indiana.
