Jane Moss King, age 68, of Brodnax, VA, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Alston Moss, Sr. and Queen Elizabeth Clary Moss, and her husband, Waverly Walter King, Jr.
Jane was an active member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church where she was involved in a variety of activities. She had a passion for playing Bingo for many years. She will be remembered as a #1 mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She was a devoted caregiver to Joybell and Nut for over 20 years.
She is survived by her children, Maria Stewart (Terry), Daniel King, Sr. (Ashley), Jennifer King, and Crystal King (Ted); grandchildren, D.J., Ryshauna (Trey), Ryshaun (Bubble Gum), Daniel Jr. (Amber), Alexis (Landen), Alyssa, A.J., Anna, Ivory, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Madison, Bryanna, Bryson, Aiden, and an unborn baby boy; brothers, Richard Moss (Cheryl), Billy Moss, and Robert Moss (Nut); a sister, Joyce Moss (Joybell); sisters-in-law, Helen Woodard, Jackie Crafton (William), and Lisa King; a brother-in-law, Nelson King; a special nephew, Ricky Woodard (Beth), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by a large extended family, including Sherry, Nana, Andrew (Tink), Stephen, Roy, Tony, William (Tree), Clay, and Willie; and two special friends, Murtis Hicks and Judy Hayes.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Gasburg, VA, followed by interment in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
