Jane Ridgway Obituary
Jane was born on July 27, 1936, to the late James Wallace Butterworth and the late Minnie Iola Johnson Butterworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harry Ridgway, Sr.; children, Jack Harry Ridgway, Jr. and Judy Kim Harris; grandchild, Katie Jane Sykes; and siblings, Joseph Butterworth, Betty Conner, James Butterworth, Nell McDaniel, Wayne Butterworth, and Marcia Bice. Jane was a retired office manager for Ison's Nursery & Vineyard. She loved Jesus, Jimmy Swaggart, gardening, and fishing. Jane was a beloved family matriarch and will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Survivors include children, John Wallace Ridgway and Beth Iola Ridgway Sykes; grandchildren, Joni Harris, Jasmine Schindler (Bob), and Joshua Sykes; great-grandchildren, Katie Jane, Alexis, Josh Jr., Heaven, Gracie, Jennaleigh, Jaylynn, Robert III, and Jami; and siblings, Elizabeth Butterworth and Patricia Curlee.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, followed by a service in the chapel. Pastor Nelson Norred will officiate. Interment will be at Fellowship Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Conner-Westbury Funeral Home to help with expenses.
