Jane Ann Rigsby

Jane Ann Rigsby, 86, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born in Berwyn, Illinois on September 14, 1935, to Perry Eugene "Gene" and Marion Elizabeth (Breen) Rolfe. She was raised in LaGrange, IL, where she attended St. Francis Xavier School and graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1953. She studied Home Economics at St. Mary's College at Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana, from 1953-1955. She married Gerald "Jerry" Rigsby on June 9, 1956, and they moved to Anderson, Indiana, where Jerry began his career with General Motors, and Jane was a homemaker.
Jane is survived by her children, Thomas E. (Robin) Rigsby, Mary (Neal) Kirby, Ann (Michael) Oddi, and Joseph E. (Sandy) Rigsby; daughter-in-law, Carla Davis Rigsby; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren (and one on the way). Also surviving are her brother, Thomas (Sally) Rolfe, sister-in-law, Mary L. Rigsby, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Rigsby, in March 2020; her son, John Rigsby in April 2022; her parents, Gene and Marion Rolfe; her in-laws, Ralph and Julia Rigsby, and her brother-in-law, David Patrick Rigsby.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 10:00 am.
Visitation will be held on August 19, 2022, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN.
