Jane Marie Thomassie Rouyea, born on March 1st, 1940 in Gonzales, LA passed away on January 8th, 2026 in Baton Rouge, LA.
She is survived by husband Alton Rouyea; son Darrell (DJ); daughters Freda Logarbo (Ray Spriggs), Sharon Berthelot (Kevin), and Brenda Lemoine (Eric), thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren!
Jane Marie is preceded in death by father Percy Thomassie; mother Isabell Morvant, son Freddie Rouyea, grandson Joseph Rouyea, and brother Perry Thomassie.
A visitation will be held for Jane Rouyea on Thursday, January 15th, 2026 at St. Mark's Catholic Church 42021 LA 621, Gonzales LA 70737, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. A procession will take place immediately after to a graveside committal at Hope Haven Cemetery on Highway 30 in Gonzales.
Attendants are invited back to St. Marks for a bereavement reception following the conclusion of services.
Pallbearers include Wayne Logarbo, Philip Rouyea, Jesse Logarbo, Derek Berthelot, Darrell Rouyea Jr., and Caden Rouyea.
Mr. Darrell Rouyea Sr. will be an honorary palbearer.
