Jane Seidman

Jane Ann Seidman, 79, of Marlton, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023, at her home in Marlton, New Jersey. Born on December 5, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jane's passion for life and her family shone brightly throughout her 79 years.
Predeceased by her parents, Milton and Betty Petkov, Jane's legacy continues through her devoted husband of 54 years, Larry N. Seidman, her cherished daughters, Jacqueline and Gwendolyn, alongside her son-in-law Yuval Abrams. Her brother, Alan Petkov, with his wife Patsy, her nephew Michael, and niece Laura, also survive her, along with her beloved cat, Sandor, who was a source of joy and comfort in her life.
Although she lived a private and unobtrusive life, for those who had the privilege of knowing her, she represented a truly inspiring source of creativity, originality, and emotional support. She was able to see the potential in things that others would disregard, from starting her own business, salvaging and selling what she called "Twice Loved Toys," to revisioning stage sets, resulting in a Wing Award for her work as a set designer at the Burlington County Footlighters Theater. Jane channeled her energies into every environment she touched including her garden and every living space that her family inhabited, creating original art and murals to adorn the walls of her own home and her husband's office.
Jane's life was a tapestry of love and dedication, woven with the threads of her interests and passions. Her artistic flair was evident in her love for art and decorating, which brought beauty and warmth to the lives of those around her. Her immense generosity of spirit was evident in the dedication she put into hand-crafting the perfect wedding bouquets and custom-designed chuppah for her daughter's wedding. A talented cook, she delighted in preparing sumptuous meals for her family and friends, turning every gathering into a celebration of togetherness.
She was, for her daughters, an indispensable source of unconventional practical advice and care, for whom even the most trivial concerns were worthy of attention. Her dedication to the physical and emotional wellbeing of her family made her the fulcrum around which the entire family revolved. She is irreplaceable, and all of those who knew her will mourn her loss as long as their memories survive.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ.
