Willa Jane Monroe Spivey passed away on October 12th, 2024, in Baton Rouge Louisiana, at the age of 73, surrounded by her family.

Jane was born in Greensboro, N.C., and is survived by her brother, Rodney Monroe; her son, Ryan Spivey; and her grandchildren, Jackson, Paker, and Katherine Spivey. Her husband predeceased her by 3 months and is waiting for her on the other side of the veil.

She loved her friends, family, and shared her close relationship with Jesus with anyone who could hear. She was involved in book club, bible study, and playing bridge.

After marrying in secret, and putting her husband, Jerry, through college, she became a wonderful mother who was always there. Monday nights eating freshly peeled oranges, and Sunday mornings praising Jesus, Saturdays lingering at the farmers markets, and weekdays labored over with love putting everyone else first; that is how she will be remembered.

While the last few years were challenging, the complete picture shows a loving mother, a caring wife, a doting grandmother, a fun friend, and a believer in Christ.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge, on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 beginning at 1:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 2:00 pm.
