Jane M. Towle of West Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at the age of 95.
Jane grew up in Dorchester and graduated from high school in 1947. After the death of her father, Jane stepped in to take care of her mother. In her younger years, Jane loved to read and loved to travel with her cousin. The two would travel all over the world. Jane lived in Waltham for many years while working in the insurance industry. Jane also lived in Brighton and it was during this time, she met and became great friends with Dan and Eileen (Vaughn) Penticost. Jane and Eileen enjoyed going for coffee, shopping, and taking many trips to Cape Cod. Jane's main passion in life was spending time with those she loved, especially Dan's family. Jane attended many of Dan's family cookouts, dinners, weddings, and special events. Jane enjoyed many trips to Cape Breton Island in Canada where she visited with many of Dan's large and extended family. Jane was always soft spoken and will be remembered for her kindness and her good heart. She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Jane is survived by her long-time partner, Daniel W. Penticost of West Bridgewater, her adored dog, Walker, and her cousin, Dr. John Looney and his family of Milton.
All services will be held privately.
