Jane Evelyn Carter Williams, 88, of Nicholasville, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Sunday, June 19, 2022. She was born on October 31, 1933, to the late Jesse Carter and Zella Peel Carter. She grew up in the Little Hickman area of Jessamine County and attended Wesley Chapel, where she met her future husband, Robert A. Williams, Sr. They married on October 14, 1949, and had 55 years of marriage until Robert's passing in 2005. Together they operated Maico Hearing Aid Service until 2004. Jane enjoyed summers on Herrington Lake, crossword puzzles, and UK basketball, but delighted most in her time spent with the family.
Jane is survived by three children, Robert A. "Bobby" (Susan) Williams, Jr; Jane Lynn Williams (Dale) Teater; and Jacquline Williams Bradburn. She was known as "Grandmommy" to her six grandchildren, Jason Williams, Chris (Amber) Williams, Jeremy (Arin) Teater, Casey Williams (Arron) Duvall, Janie Teater (John) Foutch, Nate (Katelyn) Sallee, and her 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Williams, Sr., and a son, Charles Michael "Mike" Williams.
Private family services will be performed at Maple Grove Cemetery, with Nate Sallee officiating. Grandchildren will serve as bearers. Betts & West is honored to serve Jane and her family in their time of need. An online guestbook is available at www.BettsAndWestFuneralHome.com

From mama a long time ago. My Mother. She was a woman like no other. She gave me life, nurtured me, taught me, fought for me and held me. There is nothing like a mother's love. I miss you so much mom. Gone but not never Forgotten. I love you!!

This is something mama sent to me a long time ago. In memory of those who left us too soon. We remember you in the morning, in the night, when we look at the stars, a song, a place, a smell... You're always with us. Here's something else she gave me. To My Husband. When we get to the end of our lives together, the house we had, the cars we drove, the things we possessed won't matter. What will matter, is that I had you, and you had me. I love you mom. Jackie
