Riplinger Funeral Home & Crematory - SpokaneJanean Edgemon, born July 31, 1938, entered God’s eternal care on November 13, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine Horlacher; brother, Bob Horlacher; and son, Daryn Edgemon (Barbara). She is survived by her husband, Glenn; children, Bonni Loutherback (Jay) and Larry Edgemon (Toby); granddaughters, Mikena Krumpos (Kaden) and Macie Ramirez (Tre); siblings, David Horlacher and Marlene Robertson (Red); and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Spokane and raised on her family farm near Rosalia, Janean carried a lifelong work ethic and deep love of family. She married Glenn in 1961, and together they built a life grounded in faith, community, and service. She was active in Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Daughters of the Nile, Rosalia United Methodist Church, and volunteered with Campfire youth.
Janean loved sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, and especially baking—creating hundreds of cakes, including many memorable wedding cakes. She cherished time with loved ones on the deck in Rosalia or at the family cabin on Priest Lake. A devoted homemaker and partner in the family business, Rosalia Hardware and Honda, she also worked as a postal carrier and school cook. Humble and generous, she gave freely of her talents without seeking recognition.
The family offers heartfelt thanks to All Comforts Residential Care for their compassionate support, and to nieces Diane Robertson and Donna Cabiad for their dedicated advocacy and presence.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Children’s in Spokane, Washington, in memory of Janean Edgemon.
Services will be held at Rosalia Community Church on Saturday, December 6th @ 11:00 AM, 214 South Whitman Avenue, Rosalia, Washington.
