A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Janell B. Latiolais, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Father David Hebert, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will conduct the services.
Visitation hours will be observed on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Walters Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 am.
Janell is survived by her husband, Harold Latiolais, Sr. of Carencro; one daughter, Mia King (James) of Lafayette; one step-daughter, Adonna Reed (Randy) of Maurice; two sons, Chip Foreman (Janet) of Lafayette, and Brandon Foreman (Angela) of Sunset; three step-sons, Joey Latiolais of Milton, Chris Latiolais (Natalie) of Kaplan, and A.J. Latiolais; one sister, Cathy DeVille of Opelousas; one brother, Errol Begnaud of Milton, FL; five grandchildren, Ty Foreman (Alana), Gage Foreman, Anna Belle Foreman, Kale Foreman, and Zachary Prejean; three step-grandchildren, Cole Latiolais, Cooper Romero, and Justin Latiolais; and one great-grandchild, Preston Foreman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanne and Raymond Begnaud; one step-daughter, Dionne Benoit; one granddaughter, Aubree Foreman; and one sister, Jessica Begnaud.
Janell was a 1965 graduate of Carencro High School and an Educator at Truman Elementary School in Special Education. She was the Co-Owner of Southwest Air Conditioning for over 20 years, and was a Secretary for Gator Hawk Oil Company. Janell worked in the Louisiana real estate industry, and was a long-time member and Secretary for LMHA (Louisiana Manufactured Housing Association) Acadiana Chapter, and was also involved on the state level.
In her free time, Janell owned several race horses, and was involved with the Louisiana Horse Racing Industry. She was also a world traveler, all while raising a family.
