Janet Sue Bailey Miller, 59, of Flintville, Tennessee, passed away at her residence on August 13, 2025. Born on November 8, 1965, in El Cajon Valley, California, to Sallie Kathryn Cox Chandler and the late George Troy Bailey, Janet lived a life full of purpose and passion.
A member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Janet was a woman of many talents. She had a gift for working with her hands, from sewing and quilting to tackling extensive home remodeling projects. She was a true handywoman who left her personal touch on every corner of her house.
But Janet's greatest passion was her job as a rural route mail carrier for the USPS. She deeply loved her customers and found immense joy in bringing treats to the dogs on her route. Janet's caring spirit touched everyone she met along her daily routes.
She is survived by her mother, Sallie Chandler; step-daughter, Amy Miller Brenner; her sister, Linda (the late Jeff) Abbgy; her brother, Samuel (the late Sharon) Bailey; one step-grandchild; one step-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation at Higgins Funeral Home on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A rosary prayer service with Richard Paladino will follow at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass and inurnment will take place at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K Street, NW, Suite 200, Washington, D.C. 20037-1830.
Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Janet Sue Bailey Miller.
