Born in Visalia, CA on May 24, 1949, she was the daughter of Norman Rosseau and Pauline Winters.
Janet graduated from Selah High School in Selah, WA in 1967 and earned a degree in Cosmotogy in 1969.
In 1969, Janet was crowned Miss Sun Fair in the Yakima Valley (Washington) Beauty contest.
She previously lived in Seattle, WA, Miami, Florda making her home Hagerstown, MD since 1983. Janet was the previous owner of Studio B Hair & Nails in Hagerstown, MD.
Janet is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gary Batey; sons Jeff (wife Kelly), Doug (wife Lexi), grandsons Kyle (19), Adam (18), Reed (4), granddaughters Reese (10) and Rhenn (7) and brother James Rosseau. Preceded in death by father Norman Rosseau and Mother Pauline Winters
The family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD on Sunday June 4, 2023 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life begining at 6:00 PM with Pastor Richard Daughtridge officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date.
