Janet Bianchini Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by St. Mary Cemetery & Funeral Center on Mar. 10, 2026.
Janet (Jan) Mae Bianchini, born on December 10, 1936, in Sacramento to Elizabeth and Joe Valine, lived a life rooted in love, creativity, and service. She married the love of her life, Dino J. Bianchini, in 1952, and together they shared a beautiful life until his passing in 2009. Jan was the devoted mother of four sons: Rodney Bianchini (Kathy), Dino J. Bianchini Jr. (Jennifer), Jefferey Bianchini (Patricia), and Mario Bianchini (Karen). She was "Nonnie" to ten grandchildren-Kristopher, Brandon, Brent, Kaitlynn, Dino III, Jefferey Jr., Anthony, Nicole, Brittany, and Mario Jr.-and "Great Nonnie" to eighteen great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She is predeceased by her husband, Dino, and her sons, Dino Jr. and Rodney. Jan spent her life caring for others, always happiest when her home was full, and visitors stayed long enough to share a meal. Blessed with an artistic spirit, she loved creating beautiful things. This passion led her and her friends to open A Doll Affair in Old Sacramento, where her creativity flourished; her work even earned her the Golden Bear Award at the California State Fair. The entrepreneurial drive she shared with Dino inspired them to open Chubby's, one of the first restaurants on the Laguna side of Elk Grove. Later, Jan brought her artistic touch to the florist department at Bel Air Market, crafting arrangements that brightened countless lives. Jan also loved singing in the choir at St. Anthony's and cherished her time spent with her dear friend and sister-in-law, Barbara Bianchini. Jan is survived by her sister, Joanne Laslovich.
