Janet leaves to cherish her memory her son, Daniel Bristol of New Bern; sisters, Doris Harris Alfred of New Bern and Lou Ellen Harris Rodehaver of New Bern and a host of many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ward Levi Bristol; brothers, James "Bud" Ashley Harris, Cecil Jay Harris and Gary Walter Harris; sisters, Bessie Faye Gatlin, Grace Nadine Ipock, Marion Jo Monette and Judy Lynn Taylor.
Janet was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished. Beyond her familial roles, Janet was a devoted member of Wintergreen FWB Church in Cove City, where her faith and commitment to her community shone brightly. She found solace and strength in her faith, a source of comfort that she shared freely with those around her.
Janet's memory will live on not just in our hearts, but in the countless acts of kindness and compassion that she inspired. We will remember her not just for her warm heart and beautiful smile, but for the enduring impact she had on all who knew her. The love she gave will continue to warm our lives for years to come.
A Celebration of Janet's Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Wintergreen Free Will Baptist Church in Cove City with Pastor Calvin Heath officiating.
