Janet Sue Dawson, 78, St. Marys, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Camden Clark Medical Center. Born in Parkersburg, WV, on September 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William and Leotta Hackathorn Wilson. She worked as a home health aide for 16 years. Her hobbies included fishing and camping.
She is survived by two children, Angela (Cal) Thompson, and Vane F. (Loretta) Deem, Jr.; four grandchildren, William (Brittany Rife) Deem, Kayla (Ethan) Oles, Joni (Tim) Clayton, and Ashley Boyce; 10 great-grandchildren; six step-children; five step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie (Kathy) Wilson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastor Rex Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Lane Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 to 2 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com
