Janet Dehart Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 10, 2025.
Our beloved wife, mom and Mama, Janet Sue Dehart passed away on Sunday, September 28 at the Meadows of Leipsic after a brief illness.
Janet was born February 24, 1950, in Leipsic, Ohio to Ralph and Helen (Dillinger) Claybaugh. She married Harlen Lee Dehart on June 1, 1968, and he survives in McComb, Ohio.
Along with her husband Harlen, she is survived by her son David, his partner Alison Altstaetter and their children Eliza Sue, Lydia Rose and Corra Lee plus many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Fredrick and spouse Joyce, Charles and spouse Ilene, sisters Mary and spouse Robert Agner and Sandy Claybaugh.
Janet worked at Metal Forge in Deshler for 25 years and then retired from Roki American in Findlay after 15 years.
Janet enjoyed spending time in her garden, online shopping, and Elvis Presley music. But everything else took a back seat when she could spend time with her granddaughters. She was so proud of their accomplishments and would never miss an opportunity to brag about her beautiful, talented girls. She is famously known for her savory meatloaf, amazing pies, and Sunday morning breakfast feasts!
Upholding Janet's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. She will be cremated and interred at her parents' gravesite.
"A grandmother's legacy is not in the things she leaves behind, but in the love, she etched into our souls."
