Janet Drew Obituary

Janet Drew, 74, of East Wallingford, passed away Thursday, May 1 following a brief illness. She was born November 21, 1950 in Proctor, the daughter of Samuel and Evelyn Kapitan, graduated from Proctor High School in 1968, and lived in Rutland County for most of her life.
Janet enjoyed spending holidays and other occasions with family and friends, playing pool and cribbage, doting on her beloved pets, solving jigsaw puzzles, watching the Yankees, and gardening, which she pursued with talent and enthusiasm. She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters Sandra Cocklin, Sharon Massey, and Barbara Thompson. She leaves behind two sons, Michael (Jennifer) Drew of Proctor and Billy (Miranda) Drew of Denver, Colorado; her sister Kathleen Griffin of Rutland; as well as her partner Russ Smith of East Wallingford and three grandchildren - Olivia, Felicity, and Noah Drew.
A private celebration of Janet's life will be held at a later date.
