A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Janet Godeaux at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou officiated by Father Billy Massie. She was born on October 29, 1954, in Mamou to the late John “Boulou” Fuselier and Clara Benoit Fuselier.
Janet was a kind soul who enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her sisters, Wanda Fuselier of Los Cruces, NM, Joanne Brinkman and her husband, John of Basile, and Kim Fuselier of Springfield, MO; nieces, Yona Yurwit, Amy Yurwit, and Kelly Dupre and her husband, Brandon; nephew, Jonathon; and great nieces and nephews, Avan, Graham, Fletcher, and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Godeaux; her parents, John “Boulou” Fuselier and Clara Benoit Fuselier; and her brothers, Keith Fuselier and John Fuselier.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, September1, 2023, from 5:00 -9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 8:30 AM until the time of service.
