Janet M. Guidos

Janet M. Guidos, age 71, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023. She was born on January 26, 1952, in Long Island, NY, to the late John C. Musselman Jr. and Muriel L. Musselman.
Janet was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and found joy in spending time with them. Janet's kind and caring nature endeared her to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David J. Guidos, her daughter, Jessica Lynn Guidos, her granddaughter, Ava Lynn Sentell, her sister, Denise Smith, and her brother, John Musselman. Although she has left this earthly realm, Janet's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina Guidos Sentell of Alpharetta, GA, and her cherished grandchildren, Dylan James, and Mia Ava. Janet also leaves behind her sisters, Margo M. Tillotson (Gary) of Daytona Beach, FL, and Barbara A. Guidos, as well as her brother, James A. Musselman (Susan) of Gainesville, FL. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Kelly Skipper (Gerry), Dan Tillotson (Charlee), Alexis Posson (Luke), Mark Musselman, Ann Musselman, Robin Lankford (Sean), Sean Smith (Christin), and Eric Smith (Isabel). Additionally, Janet had a special friend, Jack Overshiner, who brought light and joy into her life.
A funeral service to honor and remember Janet will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Peters officiating. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Special Olympics or Elizabeth House. These organizations held special meaning in Janet's heart and will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Janet M. Guidos will forever be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who brought love and warmth into the lives of those around her. Her gentle spirit and loving presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched.
