Janet E. Herman, beloved mother and friend, passed away at the age of 78 on August 20, 2025, in Branson, Missouri, due to a car accident. Born on June 26, 1947, in Blair, Nebraska. Janet's life was a testament to her loving, thoughtful, and selfless nature, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Janet's early life in Blair laid the foundation for the remarkable woman she would become. Her zest for life and her caring spirit were apparent from a young age. As she journeyed through life's stages, Janet's passion for people and her children only grew stronger. She carried this passion into her professional life as a Property Manager, where she was known for her dedication and the genuine care she showed to everyone she worked with. Janet's professional life was diverse, with her holding various jobs that all benefited from her unique blend of warmth and professionalism.

Family was the cornerstone of Janet's world. She and her husband Billy B Herman had just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. She loved him very much! She was a devoted mother to her beloved children, Marvin Thiel and his wife Erin, Carrie Bates and her husband Tim, and Bruce Herman. She loved her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Janet's nurturing spirit will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by her family.

Janet's interests and hobbies were as rich and varied as her life. A lover of music, she held a special place in her heart for the tunes of Elvis, Dolly Parton, and the music of her son Marvin Thiel. She enjoyed singing karaoke with her husband and Marvin, creating joyful memories that will resonate forever. Janet's love for making home-cooked meals was another expression of her caring nature, as she took pleasure in bringing people together over a lovingly prepared table.

A game of Canasta was never just a game when played with Janet; it was an occasion filled with laughter and camaraderie. She cherished the times spent playing with her parents, and later, with her husband, her daughter Carrie, and son-in-law Tim. These moments, filled with friendly competition, will be held dear by her family.

Janet's departure from this world has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew her. Her legacy is one of unwavering love and selfless devotion to her family and friends. As we bid farewell to Janet E. Herman, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that generously loved. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as her presence always brought light into our lives. Janet's journey on earth has ended, but her spirit remains with us, as enduring and comforting as the melodies she so adored.
