Janet Ann (Lomax) Hoene, 78, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023.
Janet was born on Wednesday, September 19, 1945, to the late James Guy and Gladys (Leggett) Lomax in Bloomington, Indiana.
Janet worked for Sarkes Tarzan and later for General Electric for 18 years. She was a union member of local IBEW 2249. After retirement, she volunteered at Grandview Elementary School. Her grandchildren were everything to her and enjoyed the visits from them and her great grandchildren. She loved to dance, roller skate, and later loved to attend the Silver Sneakers. She also loved attending church at Clear Creek Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James, and Gladys; brother, Monty Lee Lomax; and infant son, Bradley Allen Hoene.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Mark) Rothrock of Bloomington; grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) Rothrock of Bloomington, Chantel (Mykel) Faultless of Bloomington; great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Eliza, Zachariah, Leighana, Noella, and Mylo.
Visitation is Saturday, December 16, 2023, 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Clear Creek Christian Church, 5405 S. Rogers Street, Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral service will begin at noon. Pastor David Lee to officiate.
Burial to immediately follow at Valhalla Cemetery, Bloomington, Indiana.
