Janet Lee Hooper, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on October 31, 1946, in Hamilton, Ohio, Janet spent her life nurturing her family and community, leaving a lasting impression.

Janet's spirit was one of warmth and compassion. She devoted herself to her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. As the cherished wife of Lawrence Hooper, she created a home filled with love and laughter. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Jason) Schutte and Jenny (Rob) Schwarberg, alongside her adoring grandchildren: Jessica Schutte, Anthony Schwarberg, Lance Schwarberg, Erica Schwarberg, and Clint Blankenship. Janet will also be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Hooper, parents, John Glancy, Elsie Glancy, and siblings, Ruth Berning, David Glancy.

A woman of many talents, Janet shared her musical gift as a dedicated pianist and organist at her church, often captivating her congregation with her melodies. She even learned to play the violin at an early age, bringing joy to those around her. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was deeply involved in her church community, playing an instrumental role in many of its activities.

Janet also possessed a flair for sewing, creating beautiful items that were treasured by her family and friends. A lover of life's simple pleasures, she found joy in shopping excursions and shared countless meals with loved ones, cherishing every bite as a moment to bond. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she was their biggest fan, cheering them on through every endeavor.

In her quieter moments, Janet found solace in gospel music, filling her home with melodies that echoed her spirit of generosity and love. A devoted pet lover, she cherished her animals, embracing each furry companion as part of her family.

The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, Milford, on Friday, Sept. 5th from 10 AM until time of funeral services beginning at 11 AM. Friends, family, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her are invited to gather and share memories, honoring a life well-lived and a spirit that will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

Janet Lee Hooper will be dearly missed, but her light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who loved her.
