Janet Hoover Obituary
Janet Marie Hoover, age 76, of Akron, passed away on November 3, 2024 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. She was born in Tucson, Arizona on September 24, 1948 to the late Earl and Nina Marie (Dodd) Williams. She worked for Akron Public Schools for 25 years specializing with special needs children and cared for her parents. She was a selfless person and always thought of her children and family first. She was an animal lover whether she hand picked them or if they were strays. She never wanted anyone to go without.
Janet is survived by her brother Gary Williams; daughter and son-in-law Tamie and Ray Collins; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Holly Hoover; grandchildren Nikki (Karles) Gossick, Lacey (Trista) Hoover, Adam (Katie Carnes) Hoover, Morgan (Paul Franjesh) Hoover, Ray Jr., Zac and Angel Collins; great-grandchildren Able and Mazie Franjesh, Hunter Zorrilla; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Steve Williams; grandson Josh Smith; and sister-in-law Rosalinda (Elizondro) Williams.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6th, 11:30AM- 12:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at Wednesday 12:30 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Ray Collins officiating. Final resting place is Hillside Memorial Park.
