Janet Gladys Huff, a beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully at her home on January 16, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on October 10, 1961, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late Harold F. and Gladys M. (Sears) Colman. Janet's life was a testament to the power of love, intelligence, and a spirited zest for life that touched everyone she knew.
Janet's journey through life was shared with her beloved husband, Daniel, for 50 years. Their enduring partnership was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they raised a son, Daniel Dee II, who married Jennifer. Janet had the joy of being a grandmother to Daniel Dee III, Harmony, Peyton, and Landon. Her love for her grandchildren was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Janet's family was the cornerstone of her life, and she is survived by her devoted siblings: Dale (Mary) Colman of Roscommon, Constance Martin of Marine City, Kathleen (Chris) Skocy of Cottrelville, Steven Colman of Yale, and Gary (Kathy) Colman of Kimball Township. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Jackie (Joe) McCulloch, brother-in-law, Patrick (Julie) Huff, and many adoring nieces and nephews. Her sister, Linda Gauthier, preceded her in death.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Janet found great pleasure in painting the beauty of nature, snowmobiling through the crisp winter air, and feeling the wind in her hair while on the boat or jet skis. She was known for her green thumb, tending to her garden with the same care and attention she gave to all living things. Janet's love for animals was evident in her affection for her cats, including the one she adopted from her mother, ensuring it had a loving home.
Those who knew Janet will remember her as a loving and intelligent woman, whose spirited nature was infectious. She approached every day with a smile and an eagerness to experience all the joys life had to offer. Her presence was a comfort and a source of happiness to her family and friends.
Janet's life was a beautiful portrait of love and joy, and though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created will be a source of comfort and inspiration for generations to come. Her journey on this earth may have ended, but her story will continue to be told with admiration and love.
