Janet LaVerty Obituary
Janet was a woman of generous spirit and an unwavering pillar of her community. Her job at Toys R Us was more than just a job - it was an opportunity to spread joy to every child who walked through the doors. Her laughter was infectious and her spirit, uplifting. She was passionate about baking, with her Christmas cookies being the highlight of every family gathering. Janet found immense joy in going on cruises, spoiling her grandchildren, and bringing a smile to every face at family parties. A deeply spiritual person, Janet served her church community with dedication, especially enjoying her time spent preparing the Sunday Bulletin.
Janet will be dearly missed by those who survive her: her loving husband, Donald LaVerty; her cherished daughter, Jennifer Tammela and her husband Adam; her supportive sister, Joy Heywood; and her adored grandchildren, Juliana, Austin, Hannah, Torsten, and Karina Tammela. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends Janet leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity, making the world a brighter place through her boundless love for her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Janet's family on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lambie Funeral Home, located at 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136. This will be followed by a Celebration Life Service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

This picture was taken the last time we were all together, the Aunt Joy, her daughters and the cousins in 2015. May Janet rest is peace and be reunited with her Mom and Dad in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ
