Janet Rae "Jan" Linde

Jan Linde was born in Everson Washington to Raymond and Alice Glass. She grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Nooksack Valley High School and then studied at Western Washington University where she majored in Elementary Education. While there she met her future husband Carl Linde. They married in June 1956.

After graduation they moved to Seattle where she taught in the South Central School district for 38 years. She loved her job as a teacher and it gave her great joy to see her students learn to read as a first grade teacher and then later the wonders of science as a middle school teacher.

Jan enjoyed travel, Husky football games, family and friends; and, loved being a mom to her three children. Jan always had a big smile and a welcome space at the dinner table for anyone who was around. She found so much joy in being nana to her grandchildren and always made each of them feel unique and special.

Proceeding Jan in death was her husband Carl and her son Mark. She is survived by daughter Lisa (Neil) and son Randy (Traci) and grandchildren Kylie, Harry, Harold, Jacob and Jaycen and great grandchildren Maci and Ryder.

A celebration of her life will be at a later date.
