Janet Alford-Litters, 65, of Oakland, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Saturday March 29, 2025, at her home. She fought her cancer hard but in the end her daddy just wanted to see her and take away her pain.
Janet was born on September 13th, 1959, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Vernon and Bonnie Alford. Although she was young when she had her first and only child, Jeff, she still knew how to take care of him. She always said they grew up together. She always made sure he had a good breakfast and ate at the dinner table every night. She enjoyed having her flowers in the yard and having a garden every summer. She liked watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. She had an incredible work ethic and was loved by anyone she ever worked with.
Janet is survived by her son, Jeff (Becky) Alford; her grandchildren, Bailey (Emryn) Alford, Briar (Ashley) Alford, Holley (Triston) Alford; her great-grandchildren, Peyton, Kinzer, Jaxx, Emmi, and Beau; her mother, Bonnie Alford; her siblings, Mike (Debbie) Alford, David (Kay) Alford, Nancy Persell, Johnny (Theresa) Alford, and Chris (Tara) Alford. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Alford.
Her funeral service will be at 12 noon on Saturday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-12 noon at the funeral home.
