Jimmie Melvin Massey, 86 of Oakland passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Walter Massey and Hallie Poteet Massey. He is preceded in death by a daughter Maria Dana Massey. He was a heat and air technician. Jimmie was a member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church and a Kentucky Colonel.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife, Patricia Massey; five children, Samantha Massey, Earl Talley (Heather), Alvin Talley, Carrie McCrady and Christopher Talley (Christie); eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Massey; one sister, Anna Mae Vincent (Ashby); several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Pine Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42104
