Janet M. May (Tabbert) 80 years, of Ottawa Lake, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 5, 1945 in to Melvin and Lucille (Rapp) Tabbert. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed.
Janet married the love of her life Paul May and they spent 58 years together, he passed in 2015. She found joy in watching her hummingbirds, tending to her Koi fish and nurturing her flower beds. Janet liked camping, loved dogs and chips were her favorite food. Janet enjoyed shopping whether she bought anything or not. Janet had a fondness for casinos, both in person and online.
Janet is survived by her loving children, Brenda (Robert) Matherne, Jason May; brothers, Eddie Tabbert, Tom Tabbert; sister, Kathy Davis; grandchildren, Tanya and Kimberly Siedlecki, Ava and Cody May; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by, her husband Paul; son, Brian May; granddaughter, Lisa Siedlecki; brothers, Jack and Melvin Tabbert Jr.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
