Janet McConnell, age 81, passed peacefully from this life on August 27th, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by faith, family, and love. Blessed with a large and cherished family, she is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lawrence C. McConnell Sr., children, Richard Leet (Robin), Daniel McConnell (Susie), Douglas Leet, and Rebecca Banks (Sam), 35 grandchildren, and 56 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved children: James Leet, Robert Leet, Ronald Leet, Terry McConnell, Victor McConnell, and Lawrence McConnell, Jr., and is now reunited with them in eternal rest.
She enjoyed cooking, camping, playing games, campfires and numerous activities with family and friends.
Her gentle spirit, wisdom, and unconditional love will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the way she made every family gather brighter and more meaningful.
The family finds comfort in knowing she passed peacefully at her home.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered love and support during this time.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 1-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A Funeral Service will begin at 3pm also at the funeral home.
