Clayton P. McConnell

Clayton P. McConnell, 85, Altoona, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Hilltop Healthcare & Rehab, Altoona. Born February 7, 1940, Altoona, son of the late Roy A. and Helen M. (Cashman) McConnell. Preceded in death by his three brothers, Jim, Joe and John McConnell; and sisters, Margaret Briskey, Betty Hahn, Alice Imler and Elizabeth Eyer. Survived by his sisters, Verna Dukeman and Shirley Boore, both of Altoona; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Clayton previously worked for Texas Hot Dogs. He enjoyed fixing lawn mowers and older televisions. Clayton also liked watching the soaps and his favorite show, Gunsmoke. You could catch him riding his tractor in the neighborhood visiting his friends and neighbors. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m., Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., Pastor Terry Fahr officiant.
