Janet Leigh Piontek, born June 6, 1953, in St. Joseph, the daughter of the late Willard and Virginia Young, passed away peacefully the morning of Feb. 27, 2025, with her family by her side.
Janet married Elden on July 1, 1972, and lived in Benton Harbor, where they raised their two sons. Janet was a homemaker and enjoyed listening to music, playing games and most of all, spending time with family.
Janet is survived by her husband, Elden; brother, Gary; two sons: Jason (Jennifer) of Apex, N.C., and Nicholas (Melissa) of Kalamazoo, Mich., and six grandchildren.
