Janet Kay Secrest, 66, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital on October 2, 2025. She was born on December 13, 1957 to the late Charles and Grace (Burkhart) Adkins.

Janet was a Nurse's Aid and a homemaker. She was a devout follower of Jesus and attended the Bethesda Church of Christ. Janet loved to read the bible and could quote scriptures as if the words were written on her heart. She liked to crochet, cook, and plant flowers. She loved being with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Leroy Adkins, MIA POW Vietnam War 1968; brother-in-law, who was like a brother, Curtis Devine; and great niece, Ashlie Lingafelter.

Left to cherish her memory are husband, Charles Secrest; sister, Elaine Devine of Byesville; nieces, Mickey (Jeff) Jones of Old Washington; Missy (Steve) Lingafelter of Cambridge, great niece and nephews, Zach (Tiffany) Jones, Mac (Rob) Jones, Aspen Jones, Katie (Zac) Thompson, Reese (Jaiden) Lingafelter.

All services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719.
