Janet Suzanne Snider, 79, of Coatesville, was called into her heavenly home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2025, with her loving husband and two sons surrounding her. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Joseph Adolphus and Marjory Jean (Mitchell)
Runyan on March 4, 1946. Janet was raised in Plainfield, Indiana and graduated from Plainfield High School in 1964. Janet married Richard Edward Snider on September 10, 1966, and joined him in New Hampshire where they lived while Richard was in the Air Force.
Richard and Janet returned to their Indiana home after fulfilling military duty, where they began raising their two sons, John Edward, and Donald Richard Snider.
Janet was primarily a homemaker where she lovingly provided for her family in a host of ways. She loved life, loved her family, their home and property in Coatesville, and enjoyed doing anything and everything outdoors. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers,
trees, working in the yard and around the house, walking in the woods on their property looking for mushrooms, picking berries, loved feeding and watching the birds, and tending to and caring for any animals that they had. Janet was a wonderful cook, always
cooking in overabundance for Church pitch-ins and family gatherings. She held a few positions where she worked outside the home, including working in a variety of ways at Amo Elementary School for many years. She loved working with the kids and staff, before
retiring. Janet had a contagious, cheerful spirit and was loved by all that met her or knew her. Janet was baptized into the Lord at Plainfield Christian Church and was, in recent years, a member of New Maysville Church in New Maysville, Indiana, where she
attended with her husband.
Janet is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard E. Snider, her two sons, Donald R., and John E. Snider, her four grandchildren, Katelyn D. (Caleb) Cullen, Hannah R. Snider, Cameron (Kaylee) Snider, and Rachael R. Snider, as well as a great-granddaughter
Evelyn Diane Snider (Cameron and Kaylee). She is also survived by her sisters Linda J. (Ronald) Bush, JoAnn E. (Mike) Maines, and a brother William J. Runyan. Preceding her in death are her parents Joseph and Marjory, her sister, Diana Bennett, and her daughter-in-law,
Kelli D. Snider (John).
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville, Indiana, on May 20, 2025. Public Calling from 11:00am-1:00pm. Service will follow with burial at Coatesville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, an offering can be made in memory of Janet Snider to New Maysville Community Church, 6817 E. CR. 900 North. Roachdale, IN. 46172. Or a tree can be planted in her memory.

Janet was a joyful child and adult. She always had a smile on her face and joy in her heart. Friendly and kind were qualities that always stood out to me. It was so hard to know how she struggled after her stroke. The memories will always be with you and with me and those hopefully will help to relieve you during the grieving process.
