Janet "Gail" White

Janet "Gail" White, age 76 of Maryville, IL, born March 31, 1949 in Tuckerman, AR, passed away peacefully at LaBella of Edwardsville on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Janet graduated from Collinsville High School and was employed as a teller at First National Bank in Collinsville. She was a sports fan and enjoyed attending her son's and grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Wanda "Dorothy" (nee Husky) Tirey; her husband, Chita; a daughter, Carla; three sisters: Gilda, Diane, and Phyllis; and a brother, Eddie.

She is survived by her son, Wayne (Renee) White of Maryville, IL; five grandchildren: Brooklynn, Braden and Chance White and Kent and Corinne Sleeter; four sisters-in-law: Wendy Anglin, Sherry White, Jerry Dee Nugent, and Angela Dew; seven brothers-in-law: Vic White, Tony White, Terry White, Bill White, Marion Honey, Tom Anglin and Kevin Dew; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. officiated by Rev. Jeff Chamberlain. A reception will immediately follow at Boogies in Maryville beginning at 7 p.m. A private burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.
