Janet L. Wittmann Obituary
Janet L. Wittmann (nee Schiefelbein), age 74, of Peoria, Arizona, peacefully passed away in the early morning of September 11, 2025.
Janet was born on June 13, 1951, in Lombard, Illinois, to Ralph and Shirley Schiefelbein. She married Michael A. Wittmann on September 30, 1978. For 30 years, Janet worked as an executive assistant at Nalco Chemical Company. She was a resident of the Chicago, Illinois area until she and Mike moved to Peoria, Arizona in 2013.
Janet was survived by her loving husband, Mike Wittmann, for three days after her death. She is also survived by her sisters Judy Schiefelbein (Larry Cunningham) and Peggy Kiss (Steve), nephews Adam Kiss and Sam Hornstra (Victoria and daughter Shirley), brother-in-law Guss Hornstra, and niece Kathleen. She was preceded in death by her sister Patti Hornstra, uncle and aunt Gordon and Marian Scott, and parents Ralph and Shirley Schiefelbein.
Janet’s wish was to be cremated and have her ashes buried along with Mike’s upon his passing. She wanted only a casual celebration of life, which will be held at a later date.
