Janetta Jane White, 90, of White Sulphur Springs passed away Friday December 29, 2023 at her home.
Janetta Jane White, 90, of White Sulphur Springs passed away Friday December 29, 2023 at her home.
She was born April 3, 1933 in Alleghany, VA. and was the daughter of the late Rass N. Hilton and Ruth Jane Cox.
Janetta was a lifelong member of the Peniel Holiness Church in White Sulphur Springs. She was mainly a homemaker but had worked several jobs such as a seamstress at the Greenbrier Hotel. Her main love was painting and crocheting; she had taught painting to residents at a nursing home and did several seamstress jobs for several people over the years.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Burtia Edgar White, Jr.; sons, Donald Gene White and Dennis Roy White.
Surviving are her sons, Carlos White of White Sulphur Springs, Edward White and his wife Sherry of Hillsboro, WV and Basil White and his wife Pam of Littlestown, PA. daughter in law Ruth Marie White of Lewisburg; grandchildren; Rebecca Lester (Adam), Matthew White (Grace), Samantha Copp (JR), Jessica McCutcheon (Shane), Dylan White and Cheyanne White Conteen (Vinny); 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Janetta will be Wednesday January 3, 2024 at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs at 2:00 PM with Pastor Gene Sizemore and Pastor Ralph Hubbard officiating, interment will follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lewisburg.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 PM until time of services on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the White Sulphur Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church 212 Ingleside Avenue,
