Mrs. Janice Chaney Adams, age 67 years old, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Willacoochee, Ga. on July 30, 1956, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy and Effie Hall Chaney. Mrs. Adams made her home in the Pearson area, where she raised her family and enjoyed taking care of others, as an LPN with the Magnolia House in Douglas, Ga. She loved shopping and cooking for others, and especially enjoyed the times spent with family making memories that will last forever. Mrs. Adams was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Rocky Pond Church. She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, Wayne Adams and sister, Joann Chaney Purvis Whitt.

Son: Brandon Adams of Douglas, Ga.
2 Daughters: Carey Ladson of Pearson, Ga.
Sara Adams of Pearson, Ga.
2 Brothers: James H. Chaney and wife Linda of Willacoochee, Ga.
Donnie Chaney and wife Cyndee of Douglas, Ga.
2 Sisters: Velma Chaney Russ of Willacoochee, Ga.
June Chaney Clayton and husband John of Nashville, Ga.
6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Adams were held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Edward Mathews and Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. Special musical selections included, "When I Get Where I'm Going" by cd, and "Beulah Land" rendered by soloist, Laura Lowe accompanied by cd. Memorialization was by cremation.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Magnolia House Employees, and the Corbitt Family.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
