Janice Allen

Benson, NC: Mrs. Janice Marie Richards Allen, age 54, of Benson died Monday, March 18, 2019, at  Duke University Medical Center in Durham.  Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2019, at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Benson, NC.  Rev. Randy Beasley will officiate. Mrs. Allen was born February 6, 1965 in West Virginia to Evert and Gladys Messer Richards.She was preceded in death by her sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda and Sherman Tomblin, Barbara Maynard, and a brother, Rick Richards. Mrs. Allen was a certified nursing assistant. Survivors include husband of 10 years; Joseph Lee Allen, Sr.; daughters, Natasha King and husband,  Jamey of West Virginia, Tabatha Richards and fiancée Danny LeGrand of West Virginia; son, Joshua Richards of Benson; brothers, Fred Richards and Hayes Richards both of Clayton, David Richards and Greg Richards both of West Virginia; sister, Ann McCoy of West Virginia; six grandchildren; step-children, Joseph Lee Allen, Jr. of Myrtle Beach and April Durbin of Dunn; two step-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews.    The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM-1:45 PM Friday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
