Janice Lee Goltz was born February 17, 1948, to John and Rose (Perman) Goltz in Mobridge, SD, where she attended Mobridge High School.

Janice married Bill Perry on November 20, 1965, in Mobridge, SD. After their divorce, Janice worked at the laundromat in Mobridge until she met Harlan Aman.
