Janice Lee Aman, of Aberdeen, formerly of Hosmer, SD, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Prairie Heights.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel, with pastor Tim Vander Vorst officiating.
A time for fellowship and luncheon will be held at Schriver’s Fellowship Center following the service. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, at Bethany Cemetery in Hosmer, SD.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.schriversmemorial.com. Services will be recorded and posted on Schriver’s website following the service.
Janice Lee Goltz was born February 17, 1948, to John and Rose (Perman) Goltz in Mobridge, SD, where she attended Mobridge High School.
Janice married Bill Perry on November 20, 1965, in Mobridge, SD. After their divorce, Janice worked at the laundromat in Mobridge until she met Harlan Aman.
Janice was united in marriage to Harlan on July 13, 1975, at Janice’s family’s house in Mobridge, SD. They moved to the family farm and raised six wonderful children: Jeff, Kelly, Chris, LeRoy, Tina, and Donnie. Janice milked cows and worked on the farm, and was also a wonderful full-time mother. Janice enjoyed watching westerns and game shows. Harlan and Janice loved to travel wherever possible. They especially loved going to the Black Hills and attending the “Days of ‘76” in Deadwood.
After the passing of her husband, Harlan, in April 2023, Janice stayed on the family farm until August 2024. She then moved to Prairie Heights nursing home and resided there until her passing.
Grateful for having shared Janice’s life are her children: Jeff (Sarah) Aman, Chris (Brenda) Aman, LeRoy (Becky) Aman, Tina (Todd) Eilers, Donnie (Tiffany) Aman; grandchildren: Ashton Aman, Riley Aman, Jonathan Aman, Michael Aman, Carissa Aman, Brett Pfeiffer, TJ Pfeiffer, Toby (Sara) Eilers, Bradon Moen, Brianna Moen, Kennadi Aman, Kenzie Aman; and great grandchildren: Ellie Eilers and Gracie Eilers.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Goltz; her husband Harlan; twin sons William and Johnny Perry; siblings: Evangeline Wahl, Betty Chambers, Rose Kuehl, Carol Ann Herman, LeRoy Goltz, Robert Goltz, and Erwin Goltz.
