Janice Ann Baller from Hazleton, PA. formally from Plains, PA. passed away on May 2, 2025 after a lengthy illness. She was born to Anthony and Elizabeth Wasmanski on June 2, 1951. Janice attended Plains High School. For over thirty years she enjoyed her work as a CNA. Jan loved to spend time with her family, crocheting, gardening, and loved watching butterflies and deer. Jan was a huge supporter of the military and was noted to have helped in several fundraisers to include the Hometown Heroes banners in Newtown, PA. for the Ned Maher Society. Jan was engaged to be married to Donald Mason of Hazleton, PA. She had 4 children, Lori Zacharias (Richard) of Noxen, Eugene Baller (Brenda) of Nanticoke, PA., Michael Baller of Shickshinny, and Joseph Baller of Shickshinny. Grandchildren, Makayla Zacharias (Joshua) of Noxen, Lakrista (Joshua) Pfeiffer of Noxen, Step grandchildren, Joshua Ambroc of Nanticoke, Dustin Ambroc of Plymouth, and Jeremy Ambroc of Nanticoke, she had two Great-grandchildren Deacan Pfeiffer and Hayden Pfeiffer of Noxen. Brother Tony Wasmanski (Maryse) of Alabama, Donald Wasmanski (Diane) of Plains, Judy Buckler (Frank) of Kingston Twp., Leonard Wasmanski (Paula) of Plains, Laurie Zavaskas of Shickshinny, Steven Wasmanski of Plains, Susan Smith of Plains, Jamie Wasmanski of Plains. Jan had numerous nieces and nephews along with cousins. Jan is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Sara Zacharias, Sister Diane Krusknowski, and brothers Paul and Robert Wasmanski.
Jan's Memorial will be held on Friday May 9th from 2 – 4PM at the Lamar Christ Funeral Home located in Tamaqua, PA with services to follow.
Family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to the Colon Cancer Foundation in her name.
