Janis Grizzle Brigham passed away on December 24, 2025. Janis was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Mary Ellen Purcell Grizzle and Robert Denton Grizzle Sr. Janis was a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee. She remained a devoted Volunteer fan and maintained friendships with her ZTA sorority sisters throughout her life.
Janis built a distinguished career as a pharmaceutical sales representative, spending nearly 30 years with Galderma Laboratories, where her excellence earned her numerous awards and accolades. While she spent the majority of her life in Atlanta, she cherished the last 15 years in Maryville, Tennessee, with her partner, William Thomas.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Gary Brigham, and her beloved aunt, Glenna Dean Purcell. She is survived by her partner, William Thomas; her brother, Robert Denton Grizzle Jr.; Ronelle Grizzle (niece), Austin Grizzle (nephew), Amanda Grizzle (niece); several other relatives including cousins, aunts, and close friends.
Service Information
A memorial service will be held on February 7th from 1-3 pm EST at Rogers Funeral Home in Kimball, Tennessee. The family welcomes flowers for the service. Please do not purchase them via the link below but instead through a local florist in South Pittsburgh or Kimball Tennessee. They can be sent to the care of Rogers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association in Janis’s name are also welcomed.
